This article offers an excellent overview of the concept of growth mindset, the compelling research behind it, and why it is so valuable to cultivate among students to help them develop successful lifelong learning habits. It explains how praising students\u2019 intelligence can cause them to avoid challenge, while praising their effort can help them embrace challenge, reinforcing the idea that hard work leads to improvement.
